Ciao! I’m Raffaella, and I love my job as a fashion stylist! In working with my clients, I have discovered there are often many stereotypes and misconceptions in this industry. Q: “Who really needs your services?”
A: Fashion styling and image consulting are services that are appropriate for everybody. Many men and women spend time and money going to beauty salons, tanneries, and spas, and I am here to tell you that working with a fashion stylist is much the same…. My services accomplish a similar goal: helping you to look and feel your best!
Q: “Will you judge me when you walk into my closet?”
A: You are your closet, and your wardrobe is a reflection of your personality. I will work with you to get your closet in order and create a practical wardrobe, showing you how to mix and match and have fun with fashion, as well as create a consistency between who you are as person and how you express your personality through your fashion.
Q: “Will you be able to understand my personal style without influencing it with your own?”
A: I will bring you fashion perspective, but I will never ever push my style onto you. All of my services involve an in depth client questionnaire and a getting acquainted time that allows me to truly get to know YOU, study your lifestyle, and learn your personal taste. Once I have a good understanding of who you are, I then make recommendations to showcase you in your best light!
Q: “Can I afford your services? Will you make me buy all new clothes?”
A: It is affordable to be fashionable! I will consult with you to work within your budget, stretch your dollars, and maximize your wardrobe. I will show you how to avoid buying a whole new wardrobe and instead reinvent what exists in your closet. I will save you time, energy, and money, and show you how to mix, match, and create endless options with your wardrobe without breaking the bank!
Q: “Do I have to throw (or give) away all of my old clothes?”
A: No, don’t throw your clothes away! It’s far more cost effective to save older styles, preserve vintage fashions, and reinvent them with new pairings and accessories. Inevitably there will be a few items in your closet that may no longer fit or need to be discarded. However, I encourage you to save, rejuvenate, and reinvent your wardrobe, creating possibilities with styles that are both old and new.
